How prepared are you for the change of fortunes ?

In this dynamic world, the only thing that largely remains static is us the people. Even when we see things changing, we take a lot  of time unsure whether and/or how to change. Everything seems a surprise to us.If we ever anticipate any happenings, our behaviour still depicts unpreparedness.

 NO SINGLE DAY IS EXACTLY SIMILAR TO A PREVIOUS ONE.

IMPROVING WHAT YOU DID YESTERDAY IS WHAT SUSTAINS GROWTH.

Yesterday  night I had a chat with a boda  boda  cyclist who despite being ordered by doctors to stop riding at night continues in his night job as if the order means nothing to him.

He nearly died because of pneumonia and was advised against riding at night.Most of us know him as that one reliable guy you will call at any time of the night and he will reach you or take you wherever you want to very promptly.

When I asked why he persisted against the doctors' advice, he took me to class literally. He told me that he had tried to follow those orders but soon realised he would die of hunger faster than any other disease.

Because he usually worked more during the night, he did not have daytime regular clientele. There were more competitors during the day for the same number of clients.

He further opined that the medical bills for his treatment were covered because he had been working at night.

"WHAT WOULD HAPPEN TO ME NOW IF I FELL SICK ?"

I had to concede defeat for my previous line of argument after his on point counter argument. We however had to agree on mitigation measures once we agreed on what was at stake.

IF IT IS WORKING PERFECTLY FOR YOU, WHY CHANGE IT ?

MAKE PROFITS BUT DESIGN A SUSTAINABLE WAY OF DOING IT.

ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN ANYTIME THAT CHANGES YOUR COURSE OF ACTION.

The rains are falling furiously in most parts of the country as though they are on a revengeful mission. After crying out because of the burning sunshine that was causing the drying off of most plants and water sources,we are now crying out for help because the rains are destroying whatever remained standing in the gardens.

Those who were spending alot  of money on watering their crops and animals are now worried over floods.

Those who were worrying over where to get transport fares to take them to their workplaces because of reduced sales and the worrying economic situation are now imprisoned in their own dwelling places by the incessant downpours.

WHEN THE SITUATION CHANGES, CHANGE TACT.

BE OR BECOME A MAN/WOMAN OF ALL SEASONS.

DEVELOP ALTERNATIVE PLANS FOR ANY EVENTUALITY.

EVEN WHEN YOU CANNOT CHANGE SOME THINGS, THERE IS SOMETHING YOU CAN CHANGE IN THEIR SURROUNDINGS.

CHANGE WHAT IS WITHIN YOUR CONTROL.
